-Instrument Introduction
When a monochromatic plane wave is irradiated onto a periodic grating, periodic grating self imaging can be observed from a certain specific distance behind the grating. This phenomenon is called TaiThe Bo effect. The Taber effect is a special Fresnel diffraction effect, which is the self imaging of gratings, i.e. lensless imaging. In addition to the integer Tiber effect, it is also the fractional Tiber effect. The Taber effect can be applied in fields such as optical measurement, periodic array gratings, and optical calculations. This experimental system uses a liquid crystal light valve to generate periodic grating objects, and uses a CMOS camera to receive the grating diffraction image. The object switching is free and convenient, which is beneficial for teachers and students to conduct some research experiments.
